Changeover readiness / packaging

Catch the obsolete part.
Before handover.

Two similar change parts. One current setup record. The learner checks the required format and revision before the next shift inherits the setup.

Two technicians compare separate change-part assemblies and a setup sheet beside a stopped, guarded packaging line.
Illustrative use-case scene · representative equipment and people. This scene is separate from the MFG-CV01 concept model. It is not an OEM/customer capture or a model-reference pack.

The task / the decision / the evidence

A familiar shape is only the start.

A learner takes over a stopped bottle-format changeover. A current job pack sits beside an obsolete look-alike change part. The task is to compare the part with the required format and revision, then prepare an evidence record the next shift can trust.

01 / Compare the source

Which part belongs to this format?

Check the current setup record and part applicability. In the authored MFG-CV01 training concept, FMT-B requires GB-B2 r2; GB-B1 r1 is the obsolete look-alike.

02 / Hold and recover

Keep the mismatch visible.

A wrong revision puts the browser practice on HOLD. Consult the concept source and recover to the applicable part. The initial mistake remains in the attempt record.

03 / Hand back the evidence

What still needs a physical check?

Keep the source revision, part decision and missing first-piece evidence together. A completed model adjustment does not supply a measured physical result or release the line.

Value to test

Less searching. Fewer repeat setup questions.

Agree a baseline with production engineering before comparing time to find the current change-part information, repeat setup corrections and reviewer effort. These are pilot hypotheses; customer outcomes have not been established.

Inputs for the first pilot

One permitted equipment source, current and obsolete part examples, the applicable setup and first-piece procedure, and a named task owner. The public model and procedure downloads remain illustrative training drafts.
